Their new Secure AirTag™ Holder for Powersports is the latest in a long line of innovations from Muc-Off, geared at improving rider security. This new piece of kit gives the user peace of mind that they know exactly where their pride and joy is at all times.
Designed for use with an Apple AirTag™ (not included) the holder offers a stealthy solution for riders to securely attach the tag to their motorbike, UTV, ATV, quadbike, or even a car. The AirTag™ functions by enabling users to track any item through their phone using the Find My™ app. Once activated, the connected item appears on the radar within the app, simplifying the process of locating a vehicle to a quick glance at the map.
The design consists of a two-part frame and clamp crafted from a heat-resistant polymer and aircraft-grade 6061 aluminium which provides a secure enclosure for the AirTag™. It also includes four silicone clamp grip sizes to accommodate various wires and cables, allowing it to be discreetly tucked away under the seat, in the engine bay, or behind the fairings, ensuring it remains hidden from prying eyes. For added security, it comes equipped with security Torx screws, a security key, and a lockable clamp, ensuring the tag stays firmly in place.
A survey undertaken by the National Crime Intelligence Service (NCIS) based on the latest police figures on vehicle crime has revealed that £3 million worth of motorbikes are stolen from UK streets every month, and 80% of those thefts happen at the owner’s own property. Shockingly, more motorbikes are stolen in the UK than are bought new, and it takes on average just 20 seconds to steal a motorcycle worth £10,000*. Across the Atlantic in the United States a motorbike is stolen every ten minutes**, with 60% never being recovered***. All of this makes motorcycle security of paramount importance, particularly security which is hard to spot and difficult for thieves to remove.
