If you've ever wanted to know how pro race mechanics get their riders' machines prepped for race day, you're in luck! In this first edition of our new Meet The Mechanics mini-series we chat to two titans of the tools, Jochen Lamade and Oliver Grabowski, about how they use Muc-Off products for Canyon//SRAM.
Jochen Lamade
Which Muc-Off products are vital for you on race day?
The bike cleaner and the drivetrain cleaner products are the most important to make sure that your bike is clean and ready to race! If you add Ludicrous AF that you use after cleaning, then you make sure you have a clean and smooth drivetrain system for racing.
What Muc-Off products could you not live without?
There are quite a few! I like working and using the Carbon Gripper paste, the Soft Washing Brush and the Microfibre Cloths.
Are there any Muc-Off products that have stood out in the range for your needs and why?
The Pressure Washer is really useful, especially when you're at races where there is very little water pressure. It makes washing bikes and the team vehicles much easier.
Do you have any quick product hacks using Muc-Off you could share with us?
For cleaning your chain, give the Drivetrain Cleaner some time to stay on the chain and cassette before you spray it with water. Then, you can see how much oil and dirt it takes off the drivetrain system.
Oliver Grabowski
Which Muc-Off products are vital for you on race day?
The Drivetrain Cleaner. You get the most dirt and grime on the drivetrain and whether it is clean or not, can make a big difference with how much faster you can go.
What Muc-Off products could you not live without?
The Hydrodynamic Lube is one of my Muc-Off favourites. It can be used in a variety of different weather conditions and keeps the drivetrain running super smooth.

Spray the frame with Silicon Shine, leave it a moment then use a circular motion to rub it in, and with one wipe in the opposite direction it will make the bike look brand new – plus it smells great!
