How do I clean sealant off my kit?

Unfortunately, it seems that all tyre sealants can stain! If No Puncture Hassle Tubeless Sealant sprays on your kit out on the trail, try to rinse the affected area straight away with clean water from your bottle and then wipe off as soon as possible with a damp cloth. Key Tip! Try not to let the sealant dry before you can wash your kit properly at home!!

We would then advise rinsing again with clean water as soon as you’re home, now use a pre-wash product (check fabric is compatible first!) before cleaning your kit in the washing machine with a good laundry detergent. Alternatively, you can hand wash with a good liquid cleaner as quickly as possible. (always follow manufacturers washing instructions).

  • HOW TO

Directions for use - 80/140ml pouches:

    1. Thoroughly remove any existing sealant from the tyre before adding ours.
    2. Shake the pouch vigorously and turn it over to mix the particles thoroughly.
    3. Place the bike in a work stand, if possible.
    4. Open your Big Bore Tubeless Valve or remove the core from your traditional Presta valve. If the valve core cannot be removed, pour the sealant directly into the unseated tyre, then remount the tyre.
    5. Shake the pouch again immediately before filling.
    6. Position the valve at 12 o’clock. Working from the non-drive side of the bike, push the pouch over the valve.
    7. Rotate the wheel until the valve is at 6 o’clock.
    8. Squeeze the desired amount of sealant into the tyre, folding the pouch to the desired fill line.
    9. Close the Big Bore Tubeless Valve lever or reinsert the Presta valve core.
    10. Inflate the tyre according to the manufacturer’s recommendations.
    11. Spin the wheel several times and shake it from side to side to distribute the sealant. You’re now ready to ride.
    12. Check the amount of sealant in each tyre regularly, ideally using our Hey Dipstick!, and top up as needed.

Please refill the pouch using our 500 ml or 1 L bottles. Refilling is way better than recycling!

    KEY TIPS!
Ask your smart assistant (i.e. Siri or Alexa) to set a reminder to check your tyres and sealant in 6 months.

*We recommended checking the volume in the tyre regularly and top up if necessary (especially in hot, dry riding climates +35°C) or every 750 miles.**We recommend that the CO2 is applied from the top of the wheel/tyre so that it is not injected directly into the sealant at the bottom.
If you get sealant on your frame, parts or clothing, remove it as quickly as possible with clean water and a cloth. Try not to let the sealant dry before you can wash your kit properly at home!

  • Frequently Asked Questions

HOW MUCH SEALANT DO I NEED?

This will depend on the size of your tyres. On the back of our pouches and boxes there’s a handy guide with fill lines marked for each tyre size.

    • Road: 30 to 45ML per tyre (2 to 3 scoops)
    • MTB 26” & 27”: 60 to 75ML per tyre(4 to 5 scoops)
    • Cross 700CC: 60 to 75ML per tyre (4 to 5 scoops)
    • MTB 29”: 105 to 140ML per tyre  (7 scoops or whole pouch)
    • Downhill: 120 to 140ML per tyre  (8 scoops or whole pouch)

WHY DOES MY MTB TUBELESS SEALANT LOOK DIFFERENT THAN USUAL?

Don't panic - you've got our new and improved MTB Tubeless Sealant formula. You'll spot it by the Bamboo Fibres and Natural Mineral Flakes callouts on the label. Inspired by our proven Road & Gravel formula, it's designed to seal punctures even faster.

The new formula is grey-blue in colour and less viscous than the old pink version. Just give it a good shake before use to mix in any sealing particles that may have settled during storage.

Switching from the old formula? We recommend rinsing out your tyres first to get maximum sealing performance from the new sealant.

WHAT TEMPERATURES WILL NO PUNCTURE HASSLE WORK BETWEEN?

No Puncture Hassle works between a temperature range of -20°C to +50°C.

CAN NO PUNCTURE HASSLE BE MIXED WITH OTHER SEALANTS?

No we always recommend washing out any sealant used previously before installing No Puncture Hassle for the best sealing performance and longevity.

CAN I USE NO PUNCTURE HASSLE ON NON-TUBELESS TYRES

No, we recommend using Inner Tube Sealant instead for non-tubeless setups.

HOW OFTEN DO I NEED TO REPLACE NO PUNCTURE HASSLE TUBELESS SEALANT?

No Puncture Hassle has been designed to be left inside the tyre, for the life of the tyre. If and when it does eventually dry out (up to 6 months in temperate climates) you simply have to top up and keep riding. The sealant forms a thin even layer inside the tyre and doesn’t ball up so you don’t need to clean it out, however the water soluble formula does wash off with just water.

HOW DO I CLEAN NO PUNCTURE OFF MY KIT?

Unfortunately, it seems that all tyre sealants can stain! If No Puncture Hassle sprays on your kit out on the trail, try to rinse the affected area straight away with clean water from your bottle and then wipe off as soon as possible with a damp cloth.

WHAT IS THE SHELF LIFE ON NO PUNCTURE HASSLE TUBELESS SEALANT?

As long as you store the sealant in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight with the cap tightened our sealant will not expire. We always recommend giving the pouch or bottle a good shake before each use.
