POOLE 20.05.2024 — FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Muc-Off, the global leaders in bicycle and motorcycle care and performance, is excited to announce the launch of Silky Suspension Serum, the second product in the brand’s new ‘Technical Series’, which follows the launch of the Ceramic Protection Kit late last year.

This silicone-infused serum is designed to significantly improve suspension performance. The surface of anodised stanchions features microscopic holes, which over time become repositories for grime and dirt, which limits efficiency and longevity. By filling these gaps, Silky Suspension Serum creates an ultra-low friction surface that boosts suspension performance, reduces dirt adhesion, and extends the life of componentry.

Following thousands of hours of testing and development at its in-house R&D centre, Muc-Off sent the serum for independent testing at FOX Factory. After three-months of testing, which included Mix Fluid, Fork, Shock, and Transfer SL part compatibility, and Shock Dyno testing, FOX found Silky Suspension Serum to be safe for use on its componentry. The report concluded that the product showed no adverse effects when tested against FOX fluids, greases, oils, and parts. In the case of the Shock Dyno testing, the test simulated five to seven years of ride use, after which the Serum coated shock functioned exactly as designed and had an aeration score of zero.

"We're obsessed with pushing the envelope in innovation and providing riders with performance gains across their whole bike – from the drivetrain to the stanchions. Silky Suspension Serum is the next product in our Technical Series, which is geared around boosting performance in a number of areas. Keep your eyes peeled as this series develops, we've got some ground-breaking products in the pipeline." Alex Trimnell, CEO at Muc-Off.

As with the majority of products in Muc-Off’s range, Silky Suspension Serum will carry the brand’s Project Green logo. The formula is PFC Free, meaning it’s not harmful to people or the environment, and it comes in a fully recyclable bottle – all part of Muc-Off’s ongoing commitment to sustainability.

The bottle’s new pump-action trigger means application is simple; the design ensures that the serum ejects with targeted precision, minimising overspray, however Muc-Off always recommend covering brake discs when using any of its silicone-based products to avoid contamination.

Silky Suspension Serum comes in a 100ml spray bottle, priced at £4.99 / €6.99 / $8.99 and is available now from the Muc-Off global dealer network, select e-retailers, and direct from www.muc-off.com.

ABOUT MUC-OFF:
Back in 1991 Rex and Marilyn Trimnell got things started with X-Lite UK. After designing and manufacturing the world’s first twin crown bicycle fork, Rex created a perfectly pink spray to clean his kit. To cut a long story short, Rex’s cleaner was the best thing since sliced bread, and it wasn’t long before word got out and Muc-Off was born.
Fast-forward to now and Muc-Off is the go-to brand for top riders. And, in case you haven’t noticed, we do a bit more than our original pink cleaner these days.
