POOLE - 02 APRIL 2026 - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Muc-Off has extended its partnership with LifeTime Events, continuing a shared commitment to delivering world-class cycling experiences and supporting riders at every level of the sport.
As part of the partnership, Muc-Off will return to the Sea Otter Classic in Monterey, California this April, where it will be showcasing its latest drivetrain innovation - Dark Energy Chain Wax.
Engineered to hit the sweet spot of efficiency, durability and low wear, Dark Energy delivers a clean and quiet drivetrain. Developed over four years at the Muc-Off R&D Lab, it blends highly refined waxes - including a plant-derived biodegradable wax - to form a durable dry-film barrier that repels dirt and reduces friction. From racing to everyday rides, it’s riders’ invisible performance advantage.
At Sea Otter, visitors to the Muc-Off booth will be able to check out Dark Energy Chain Wax and get hands-on with the product through live demonstrations. Muc-Off will also be running its bike clean, protect and lube station at the event, where riders can have their bikes brought back to their best post-race.

The Sea Otter Classic, widely regarded as the season opener for cycling in North America, provides a key platform for Muc-Off to connect with riders and industry partners.
The extended partnership will see Muc-Off continue to support a portfolio of leading LifeTime events, including Unbound, Leadville, Big Sugar and Little Sugar, with on-site race support, product activations and expert bike care advice throughout the season.
