POOLE January 22 2026 — FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Muc-Off has added another major industry award to its Big Bore Tubeless Valves, securing a Design and Innovation award in the components category making it a multi-award-winning tubeless solution.
The latest recognition follows the Big Bore Valves’ Eurobike Award win last year, marking continued industry recognition for the valve designed to solve one of the most persistent problems in tubeless setups: Sealant clogging.
Developed around Muc-Off’s patent-pending “Straight Through” coreless design, the Big Bore Valve system removes the need for a traditional valve core, dramatically increasing airflow allowing sealant to pass cleanly through the valve, eliminating clogging that commonly occurs with other tubeless valves.
By significantly improving airflow, the system makes initial tyre seating faster and more reliable, while an integrated stainless steel ball valve allows pressure adjustment and sealant top-ups to be made directly through the valve. The result is a cleaner, simpler tubeless setup process for riders.
The Design and innovation Award, presented by Enduro Mountainbike Magazine, recognised the Big Bore Valves for delivering meaningful performance gains through practical engineering rather than incremental changes. This builds on the Eurobike jury’s assessment last year, which highlighted how the valve’s coreless large opening improves airflow, simplifies sealant installation, and avoids the mess and maintenance associated with standard valve designs.
