  • Description

    The Muc-Off Ultimate Tubeless Kit contains everything needed to get a tubeless-ready wheelset set up and ready to roll. Each Kit contains a Muc-Off Tubeless Rim Tape, Seal Patches, 2 CNC-machined black tubeless Valves and 2 pouches of No Puncture Hassle Tubeless Sealant.

    With 5 available kits for:

    • Road/gravel/CX with shallow rims (44mm tubeless valves and 21mmx10m Rim Tape)
    • Road/gravel/CX with deep rims (60mm tubeless valves and 21mmx10m Rim Tape)
    • XC (44mm tubeless valves and 25mmx10m Rim Tape)
    • DH/Enduro (44mm tubeless valves and 30mmx10m Rim Tape)

  • HOW TO

    1. Remove any old rim strip or tape and clean the rim with our Glue & Sealant Remover. 
    2. Make sure the rim is clean and dry before applying the tape.
    3. Take the tape from the packet and position it opposite the valve hole.
    4. Unwind a small amount of tape and press it down with your thumb or finger.
    5. Keep pressing the tape down as you pull it taut around the rim. After a few centimetres, it should hold itself in place.
    6. Continue all the way around the rim. If the rim has a deep concave channel, pull and gently wiggle the tape to cover the edges.
    7. Overlap the tape by approximately 10–15 cm.
    8. Leave a small section unstuck so you can cut off the excess tape.
    9. Once cut, press the loose end down firmly to create a seal.
    10. Run your thumb around the rim to smooth out any air pockets or uneven areas.
    11. When you are happy with the tape, locate the valve hole and carefully pierce the tape with a small pin.
    12. Remove the lock ring and O-ring from your tubeless valve.
    13. Choose the rubber fitting that best suits your rim and insert the valve.
    14. Refit the O-ring and lock ring, then tighten the valve. Do not overtighten it, as this could damage the rubber.
    15. Refit your chosen tyre, taking care not to damage the tape with tyre levers.
    16. Inflate the tyre to seat it on the rim. You should hear some popping as it settles into place.
    17. Deflate the tyre and remove the valve core using the spare valve cap.
    18. Shake the sealant pouch.
    19. Unscrew its cap and attach the pouch to the valve while the valve is upright.
    20. Hold the pouch and rotate the wheel downwards until the pouch is upside down.
    21. Roll the pouch down to squeeze the sealant into the tyre.
    22. Rotate the wheel back to the upright position and remove the pouch.
    23. Reinsert the valve core and inflate the tyre to your preferred pressure.

    When adding sealant to brand-new tyres, we recommend degreasing the inside surface to remove any oils or mould-release residue left from manufacturing.
     
    For best results, use our Quick Drying Degreaser, Disc Brake Cleaner or Glue and Sealant Remover with a clean cloth. This helps the sealant adhere and work effectively
