POOLE MAY 16th, 2025 — FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Muc-Off is proud to confirm the launch of Muc-Off racing, its first Isle of Man TT title sponsorship – with long-term supported rider, James Hillier.
Hillier, one of the most consistent and respected riders in road racing, will line up in the Superbike and Superstock classes aboard a pair of 2024 Honda Fireblades, backed by Muc-Off. This bold move sees Hillier sport the iconic Muc-Off pink and black adorning his helmet, leathers, and bikes.

The partnership was born out of adversity. Just weeks ago, Hillier’s 2024 team withdrew from the 2025 Isle of Man TT challenge. Rather than walk away, Hillier got to work assembling a plan, securing equipment and personnel with support from WTF Racing boss Alan Gardner and the team at PCR Performance.
“When I got the call from Alan, I was floored. It took a while to sink in. Not being at the TT just wasn’t an option, so I hit the phones hard – chasing bikes, chasing funding, pulling favours. It’s been chaos. But bit by bit, we pieced it together. The Muc-Off crew stepping up was massive – we’re still a lean outfit, but we’re going in swinging.” James Hillier.
Hillier will be reunited with his trusted pit crew and race-proven machinery, forming a tight-knit unit built on experience and grit. With the fundamentals in place, the final missing piece was a title sponsor – and Muc-Off delivered.
"When we heard James was left without a team for this year’s TT, we knew we had to step in. We’ve supported him for over a decade and he’s part of the Muc-Off family. So, on top of keeping his rig running at full tilt with our full motorcycle range, we’ve gone all in with title sponsorship for his team – helmet, suit, bike, the lot. It’s our first time running a fully branded Muc-Off race entry at the Isle of Man TT, and we couldn’t be more stoked to be doing it with James as pilot.” Alex Trimnell, CEO of Muc-Off.
The 2025 TT will mark a major moment for the brand – not only a high-profile entry on the world’s most iconic road racing stage, but a powerful statement of commitment to grassroots racing, technical performance, and the riders who make it all happen.
With bikes prepped, crew locked in, and the Muc-Off name flying high, the comeback story is ready to be written.

ABOUT MUC-OFF:
Back in 1991 Rex and Marilyn Trimnell got things started with X-Lite UK. After designing and manufacturing the world’s first twin crown bicycle fork, Rex created a perfectly pink spray to clean his kit. To cut a long story short, Rex’s cleaner was the best thing since sliced bread, and it wasn’t long before word got out and Muc-Off was born.
Fast-forward to now and Muc-Off is the go-to brand for top riders. And, in case you haven’t noticed, we do a bit more than our original pink cleaner these days.
