From sunrise café rides and packed expo crowds to full-gas racing through Catalonian gravel, Traka week has become more than just an event. It’s a meeting point the entire gravel community.

For Muc-Off, in our first year of partnering with the prestigious event it was a week of early starts, dusty bikes, nonstop bike washing, athlete support, and somehow trying to squeeze in enough coffee to survive it all.

Girona During Traka Week

If you’ve never been to Girona during Traka, imagine every café filled with cyclists comparing tyre pressures, every street buzzing with riders spinning easy recovery miles, and every bike rack carrying a machine worth more than a small car.

Throughout the week, riders from all over the world rolled through town ahead of race day — from elite racers chasing podiums to riders taking on huge personal challenges across the different distances.

Away from the racing itself, the week was packed with community events too. We teamed up with Ben Perry for a ride-out through the Girona gravel before hosting a packed-out pub quiz later in the week, bringing together riders, creators, and cycling fans for a properly good night.

We also spotted plenty of riders rolling around Girona in the custom Muc-Off branded helmets worn by Ben Perry, and EF Pro Cycling athletes Lachlan Morton and Axelle Dubau-Prévot. A setup that definitely turned heads across the week.

Dust, Bikes, Repeat

One thing Traka guarantees every year? Dust. That meant our wash stations stayed busy all week, helping riders get their bikes cleaned up and race-ready after recon rides and long training days.

Chain care and tyre prep became daily rituals, especially with riders obsessing over rolling resistance, puncture protection, and drivetrain efficiency before race day.

The Muc-Off setup quickly became a pit-stop hub throughout the week as a part bike wash, part athlete support station, part catch-up point for the wider cycling community. We loved it!

Race Day Energy

Race day bought with it the nerves, the excitement, the endless queue for coffee before sunrise, everyone knew it was go-time.

Across every distance, the racing delivered. Fast starts, dusty descents, mechanical dramas, tactical moves, and riders emptying the tank across some of the best gravel routes in Europe.

And once the finish-line dust settled, it was straight back to washing bikes, swapping stories, and celebrating another huge edition of Traka.

Until Next Year

Traka continues to grow every year, but what makes it special is that it still feels like a community event at heart. Safe to say we’re already looking forward to coming back.
