MXGB Round 2: Preston Docks
Round 2 of the 2026 British Motocross Championship delivered everything you’d expect from Preston Docks—deep sand, high speeds, and a stacked international field.
For the Muc-Off supported Dirt Store Triumph Racing Team, it was a weekend of big results, with podiums across both classes and strong early-season momentum.

Built for the Sand
Preston Docks is never easy.
Fast, rough, and constantly evolving, the deep sand circuit tested riders and machines alike—but the Dirt Store Triumph Racing squad delivered when it counted.
With the TF 250-X and TF 450-RC machines performing and the team dialled in, it was another strong showing in tough conditions—exactly where performance matters most.
Watson Holds the Red Plate 🔴
In MX1, Ben Watson delivered under pressure.
Despite a tough start in Race 1, Watson fought through the pack and backed it up with a strong second moto to secure 3rd overall—enough to retain the championship red plate.
Against a field led by international heavy hitters Jeffrey Herlings and Conrad Mewse, it was a crucial result that keeps the title fight firmly in his control.
“It was a tough day, I can’t lie, but we managed it well and ended on the box. I had a good feeling on the bike all day and really enjoyed the event. Big thanks to all the Dirt Store Triumph Racing crew.” Ben Watson, Dirt Store Triumph Racing

Searle Takes the Overall in MX2 🏆
Tommy Searle showed exactly why he remains one of the most consistent forces in British motocross.
After battling at the front in a chaotic opening moto—cut short by a red flag—Searle came out swinging in Race 2, taking the win when it mattered most and securing overall victory in MX2.
On a demanding sand track, it was a calculated, experienced ride—another statement performance.

Askew Continues to Impress
Young talent Billy Askew backed it up with another strong weekend:
- Race 1 - P6
- Race 2 - P3
- 4th Overall
Composed, fast, and consistent—Askew continues to prove he belongs at the sharp end, now sitting 4th in the championship standings.
